Was hunting again this past weekend.
Before daylight, as I was getting prepared to head out, a Coyote called loud and clear in the direction of the deer blind I was going to. I decided at that time since I already have a buck for the season, guess I will hunt coyote. Gathered a predator call, mojo decoy and headed out. The blind is on a hill top, feeder at bottom of hill at 100 yards, top of the next hill looking down the fence row clearing is 185 yards. About 9 am I see movement at the top of the next hill, a coyote, with head down low in a trot across the 20 yard wide clearing, 185 yards away. I rotated quickly in the chair and setup a supporting aim position in the windows in the corner of the blind. My scope is a Leupold FXII with only 2.5 magnification, on the range I can consistently hit an empty Freon jug at 200 yards holding over on the post of the reticle. So I estimated hold-over and fired. The shot was low, that flat nose 325 grain bullet hit the ground right under his feet, the ground exploded. Coyote's reflexes kicked hind legs so hard that if he did not have that long nose that hit the ground, he would have flipped head over paws!
Next time Wylie Coyote.... Next time!

Very nice!
For my first post, I'd like to say thanks for having me. I find it difficult to believe I hadn't found y'all before.
Going to keep searching around, I'm interested in the load data used on the yote.
