Good report and good shootin'. When's dinner?
Life isn't about the toys you accumulate, but about the memories your create with those toys and friends.

Re: Porkers at the feeder...
That is the kind of story I like to read, good shooting, looking forward to hearing more. Nice choice of rifles for getting in close.Ranch Dog wrote:Well, shot two of the squealers last night. They came into the feeder at 9:00 so I cut off the yard lights so I could work in close to them, got about 30 yards from them. Waited for two to line up proper and shot them with my Marlin chambered in 32-20 Win.
I cleaned them and cut them into complete sides, down the middle of the backbone. They weigh about 13 lbs each so just about perfect for my grill.

I gotta get a "real" Winchester in .32-20. Might cost too many bucks.

Thanks guys. Yeah, the 32-20 Win is sweet. When Marlin offered the "CL" I waited a bit and found clea, used rifles in 218 Bee, 25-20 Win, & 32-20 Win. Hunting for those rifles is probably the best hunting trip I been on and I'm really glad I own them.

Michael,
Did you use your TLC313-115-RF? I have the mold NIB, just haven't cast any for my 1894CL yet. I'm currently burning-off a large stash of BTB 313"-115g, which I push with #2400/9.0gr.

I have no .32-20 firearm yet but I have 2XX brass, new Lee dies, 2XX cast bullets. No mold.

Re: Porkers at the feeder...
I'm pretty sure that NOE can fix the mold part of that. I just looked at "Completed" auctions on GunBroker and the Marlin 1894CL are still closing pretty reasonably. Sure, there some rifles listed for over a grand but they don't sell, they are just relisted over & over again.GasGuzzler wrote:I have no .32-20 firearm yet but I have 2XX brass, new Lee dies, 2XX cast bullets.
