Mike kills an eight point

Post by Steelbanger »

Mike's 8 point, 2015.JPG
Hello riflemen,

Most here don't know my son Michael with the exception of the man, RD. But I m so happy for him with this buck that he killed yesterday of the first day of our PA buck season. He is quite the accomplished photographer too.

In the event as to my deer hunting ability, I saw 12 doe and 3 unidentifiable runners which makes it kind of difficult to count their mandatory points. Today we went out in a rain soaked hunt but neither of us heard even one shot, let alone sighting a deer.

Here's the photo. The rifle is one of the first Ruger Mark II model 77s which he bought when they were first available. One shot, a short run and the buck was dead.

The caliber is the 270 Win., left hand model.

Thank you for the compliment on the pic.

RD,

You bet that the deer was shot on Mikes place. Now he's getting itchy to buy another 25 acres which adjoins his property. That is 25 acres of steep slope and all trees. I hope he can see his way to buy that land.
