Was sitting at the dinner table at 5:00 pm and saw a large hog cross on the back side of my pond and within minutes I was out the door. Spent some time watching a cross roads of senderos to see what stuck it's nose out. Just about gave up and was walking to the house and heard one light squeak. Went back to watch the senderos and saw five 30# hogs cross. Where there are little hogs there are bigger hogs. Came back to the house and circled a very long ways around to put the wind in my favor and then moved up a sendero that would put me in their path. I entered a slight depression in the terrain and immediately saw a sow feeding. As I watched it two very large sows came into view. There was a lot of brush between the large hogs and I so I took the clear, 25 yard, shot at the first sow.
This is also my first kill with one of my new designs, the TLC432-240-RF. My granddaughter was delighted with the afternoon!

Nice going, RD! Looks like I'm going to have to try that "240" in my triple-4.

It works as well in the 444 and is capable of moving pretty quick! My inventory has been on order for a while but I haven't added a product page on my web site as the special orders have ground to a stop at Lee, typical election year, and I haven't a clue when it will be available.Dan 444 wrote:Nice going, RD! Those little Rossi 92s of RDs are real meat producers.Ranch Dog wrote:Heh!! Now it is on that very same table!Arktikos wrote:That would be nice spotting game from the dinner table!!
I think it's got something to do with those Crazy Glued scope bases.
I'm gonna have to try that.

That's very cool RD! There is something appealing about not even having to leave home to get your meat.. It reminds me a bit of when I was a kid we had a cabin up a river in interior AK and it was situated right across the river from a "pothole" where a slough entered the river. It would seem almost every fall my dad would spot a bull moose over there from the window, and after he had his morning coffee he would step outside and use the corner of the cabin to steady the rifle and we would have a moose in the freezer for winter. That slough did a fair job of feeding a family of 5 for many years.. Not really what I call hunting, but easy is good!Ranch Dog wrote:Heh!!
