My past experience is that too light of a lead bullet for given caliber and H110, at least, doesn't seem to propel the bullet to the velocities I expected. This was in a .45 Colt revolver, where the 300+ grain bullet worked much better at utilizing that powder.
The lightest bullet I've shot in the 454 is my 45 Colt bullet, the TLC454-290-RF. It did fine both in the 454 and 45 Colt with H110 which is just a bit slower than the Lil' Gun. I'm getting ready to load some 44 Mags with H110 this evening for my Win 94 Timber Scout. I'm going to stop using Lil'Gun until four lbs of the H110 is used up. It is 15 years old, and I just bought an 8-lb jug of Lil'Gun last year.
