NOE mold is on it's way HOME

Post by donhuff »

After yesterdays range session with the NOE 360-180 bullets that GasGuzzler sent me, I could not wait any longer to get this mold. One target was all it took to finally convince me.

I am NOT a heavy bullet guy nor, am I a wide meplat loving guy, BUT dang one good group was all it took. Actually several loads and targets and groups but that one good one makes a big difference.

I gots to go to the tire store now and get a new bucket of wheel weights. Gotta get some ingots smelted and alloyed to be ready for the new mold when it gets here.

I feel the same way about this bullet design. I like the heavier weight and large meplat. At around 1800 fps it's a legitimate deer killer out to 200 yards (with good shot placement). I cast mine soft (8.5-9 bhn), but I don't shoot at hogs either. I would water drop for 20 bhn if hogs were on the menu.

Glad you're liking this design. It's a proven winner in carbines that it will smoothly feed in.
