I know Okie 44 has one that apps to his iPad but I'm not sure what kind it is.

Yep, that's the one. Works great!

My son has that one too and it works fine. I told him we could calculate ballistic coefficients now that we both have a chronograph. We can put mine near the shooting bench and his out at the target...... ;)

Anybody try the Lee C358-200-RF part number 90016 for this purpose?

I guess it was addressed earlier on page 5 but I'll leave this here so the topic can be searched by the mold number.

I'm going to start my new project off on some .357/166/14.5 W296/1.615 but I have some primed empty .38S cases and the hankering to start casting.

A page back I gave Maximumbob54 s.o ideas about the charges to use. We are just waiting for him to receive, set up his chronograph, and give us a report on his success.

So. Another one of my special projects took a flying leap backwards yet again today. I swear these things are one step forward; ten barrel rolls backwards.

Lesson learned though. Apparently one can finally size a straight wall case enough times for case head separation to occur.

On a high note, when you buy a new chronometer and suddenly remember these things need a tripod stand to work... In a pinch a TV table also works... But it's nothing when the first shot ruins the whole trip.

Now I'm off to figure how to remove the rest of the brass.

MidwayUSA shows a video where they try to use a bronze brush to push or pull it and loosen it with penetrating oil. The last resort they use is to plug the bore and fill the brass with cerosafe to tap it out once cooled.

From my run of luck with these things I guess I may as well order some cerosafe. Before I do that though, is there a reason you can't just use lead? I cannot imagine 600ish degree lead is going to do anything to the heat treatment of the steel.

What you see is what pulled out. So it's not quite half an inch inside the chamber. The bronze brush didn't grab squat and I tried a .40 brush thinking that might be tighter. I thought since it's a .38 in a .357 chamber that it might grab in front of the case mouth and pull it out. Nope. It's got some WD-40 soaking in it for the night. No need to get flustered and frustrated any more so than I already am.

I have heard of people using a tap to get these out. Of course it was probably someone with a infinite number and sizes of taps so he could find the right one. And there are broken case extractors, I have one for 5.56 cases and have never had to use it. Bought it back when i was shooting a couple of wildcats based on the case and didn't want to blow a match entry because of a broken case.

I'm just not sure how easy it's going to be to get the tap style extractor into the chamber to grab the brass when it's in the 92 action. I really don't want to have to remove the bolt to be able to get an opening from the back.
