I will answer the question you sent me via PM here as others might be interested. Whether you go will the Micro Bands or standard lube grooves depends on whether you have a lube sizer or not. My preference is the Micro Bands, I think they shoot better. I do have a Lyman 4500 but dip or tumble all my bullets with liquid Alox and then use the push through Lee sizers.

I size this bullet to .452" for both my R92 and Taurus 450. I no longer use it at .454" as I sold my Marlin 1894S.

Thank you for the info. exactly what I needed to hear. I would rather tumble lube anyway. I have the Lee push thru sizerer .I am putting my order today.

I am also torn with wanting to mess around with lead and fps ratios to try to get a reliable HP or just rely on a nice chunk of lead.....

I messed around with a few hollow points and feral hogs and will take a large meplat any day.

yep that large meplat is what I settled on. can't beat it so why mess with a good thing. now I just need more people to see he NOE group buy any suggestions on how to get the word out. I have posted on several group buy forums. maybe I need troll other posts and mention it?
