One of the very few magazines I subscribe to is Wolfe Publishing's Rifle, I like the magazine's style, it mirrors my interest very well. Dave Scovill's "Spotting Scope" column, "Cast Bullets" is one of the best introductions into this endeavour that I have read. I think by going through the link you can download a trial copy, I'm not sure if the trial is a complete copy.

I have never cast bullets myself but I have hand loaded factory cast bullets.
The type of shooting & hunting I do doesn't require the kind of accuracy that would necessitate slugging of barrels and having casting molds made specific to each gun & barrel.
My kind of hunting is well served by ballpark 3"/3-shot group/50 yard accuracy........the store bought cast lead bullets and factory ammo featuring hard cast lead bullets easily gives me that ballpark accuracy.
I don't handload nearly as much as I did 30 or even 20 years ago because hitherto non-existent premium quality factory ammo featuring premium bullets is generally available on the store shelves now.
I do buy just about every issue of Handloader though I don't have a subscription.
How many boxes of ammo featuring the Swift A-frame or even the Nosler Partition bullets would you find on store shelves in 1973 or even 1983?
Such ammo is common place now, a bit expensive but available.
And let's face it .......the "Fates" have been good to us or we wouldn't own dozens of rifles & handguns.

I'm a fan of Wolfe Publishing also. I signed up for the Load page and got a year subsciption to their 3 magazines. Hand Loader, Hunter and Rifle all for about $24 a year.

I just noticed they offer a full year of all three for $20 via their website. Download pdf files and save then on the hard drive, print them, etc.

Sounds great and the wife won't see them stacked in the "library".

The only think with the pdf is that it is a little weird sitting on the "throne" in the "library" with the computer on your lap

I actually load them on a Kindle Fire and take them with me.

Since we're heading off-topic I may as well take it off the cliff.

One of my pet peeves is the catalog from Brownell's. Is there a clumsier catalog anywhere in the world? Visiting the "library" with it is about impossible. Probably everyone will agree on this except the Brownell folks who tend to brag about their uniquely shaped catalog.
