Sounds like you've been a bit busy.
Does the place have a name yet?
I've got at least a couple buds in that area.

That's the name in the link Archer, Green Bus Brewing. The brewer, Jason Sledd, has a 72 vw bus. And yes, it's green. He use to have a two beer keg-a-rator in it, and had taps on the outside.

Yes, get your buddies to drop by. Tell them to mention that they are friends of one of Don Huffs Rossi Rifleman buddies. They would like knowing how the word gets out that they are open.

Grand Opening is tentatively scheduled for October 1. https://www.facebook.com/GreenBusBrewing/

I started out with an Ultrasonic and it just didn't do a satisfactory job, especially
cleaning the primer pockets.
Some one turned me on to the ss pins and not needing the huge volume some
seem to I went with the small rock tumbler from Harbor Freight. Hindsight
says I should have picked the double tumbler and could clean several caliber
brass at the same time.
Oh well ... a squirt of Dawn, a dash of lemishine, 25 / 50 .357 brass ( roughly
a range trips worth ), tap water, ss pins and you're ready to go. As a rule I'll
usually tumble for two - three hours while I'm doing other " must do jobs ".
Dump the cleaned brass / pins in a strainer and separate the brass. Rinse
and let the brass air dry.
I did make a second drum for those days when I'll shoot one of the hand guns
as well as the carbine and have it ready to go.

Here's my compact set up ...

Nah, I'm just a brassrat and pick up every shiny thing I see at my gun club. I spend more time scrounging than shooting, it's an obsession. Sometimes I stumble upon piles left after pistol classes.

I cleaned all that .45 up, bagged it and sold it all. Helps to fund other goodies! I paid for half of my new Rossi by selling several thousand 5.56/.223 cases that I'd picked up after carbine classes at the club. Shined 'em up in the mixer and sold 'em.

And every time I go out there I bring home another bucketful. I've got God-only-knows how many thousands of 9mm brass to shine up and peddle. I usually sell surplus brass to buy bullets, powder and primers for the brass I keep.

My buddy who's just been reloading the last couple years I've started calling a brass dragon since he's amassed a half dozen 5 gallon buckets for various calibers filled with brass over the course of the last year or so.

Oh Lord, I hope he's been sorting it all as he goes! If he tries to start sorting out 30 gallons of brass he'll NEVER finish it! I have to sort mine as soon as I get it home or I'm in trouble.

And for people that think us brassrats are nuts (possibly.....), consider each case, on average, to be worth a nickel, dimes for big rifle brass. Would you pass up hundreds of nickels and dimes laying on the ground? I wouldn't! But I learned the value of picking up soda bottles as a kid and then having money to buy what you couldn't before.

Gotta keep things in perspective.....

I see it like you. I'm old enough to remember deposit bottles but not old enough to have cashed in on them.

I just went through about 1K 5.56 military brass and found a solid 1/4 if not 1/3 of them crushed at the neck.

Waiting for a response from their source.

I recall the deposits as well on glass bottles.
Collected them out of ditches as a kid along with aluminum cans when they started showing up.

I absolutely hate the CA-CRV, so called deposit, on plastic bottles here in CA. It is nothing but yet another semi-hidden government imposed TAX. Recently return centers have been dwindling so it's more of a pain to get the portion of your money back that you can get. I think a lot of the numbnuts who voted for that tax were nostalgic about the deposit on glass bottles and didn't stop and think about a government imposed deposit system that would end up getting skimmed and expanded and increased over the years.

My bud has been cleaning and even sometimes sizing as he gets it. THAT is part of the brass dragon label. He's not happy if it is simply clean he has to put time and effort into making it shiny.
