Looking for enough velocity to get good stability. I've never been after velocity for its own sake. Still looking at other powders and data sources.

Due to the slower twist [1/30in] of the rossi compared to a handgun [ 1/14in to 1/18in]
you will need to INCREASE the FPS to get the RPM's up to tighten the group.
A 180gr bullet will hit 1200 from a hunting revolver.
If we use the S&W twist [1/18] that is 48,000 rpm.
At 1/30in you need 1800 fps or so.
fps x 12in x 60sec / twist = rpm
If the load is too hot , you need to use a shorter bullet.
