Re: SR 4759
Based strictly on position in the burn rate charts you might look at either of the 4227's (faster) or at Accurate 5744 (slower). Check a couple of good current loading manuals and see how they match up to your SR4759 load(s).canon6 wrote:I am a big fan of this powder. Now that it is not being made anymore .Do any of you guys have any idea for a replacement?????? IMR 4198, and H4895 and the two listed above. 4895 you can use in just about any rifle. If there is data one Hodgdon's web site go to the max load for the weight bullet and start at 60%. Work up till you find your sweet spot. It works. I had a 1" group with my 303 at 100 yards with cast and 4895

4227, 4198 and 4895 4227 you can reload 357, 44 and just about all rifles with cast bullets. 4895 will work in just about every cast or jacketed rifle. Universal, Unique, 700, tight group and you've got everything covered. 4198 is good but no data on 357 or 44 mag.
