Do it.

Add a front firing pin while you're ordering.

Thanks - I will order both today. And I think earlier you may have asked whether the bullseye was intact in the stock - yes, it is there!

Now, to the buttplate replacement.

My email tells me to expect the spare FP and the ejector spring parts this afternoon. Might be lucky, and get some range time again this weekend to check things out. I really like this Marlin!

I forgot to add - if I get to the range Saturday or Sunday, and the Taurus 85 comes along, it will already be "unlocked" before I go! (and I'll bring the key anyway... )

Good morning
A leather butt cover would be another option.. I am getting rather fond of those additions.

Can't wait for the report.

BTW, the FP in a 336 is cake compared to such in a '92.

Hey, the FP and the ejector spring assembly came yesterday afternoon. Looks good, so I will reinstall the spring and get the gun "levering" properly tomorrow.
However, I don't know if my range time is gonna happen or not. My truck is being borrowed tomorrow, maybe I will be able to get out Sunday.

Where are the repo buttplates that don't look like a cheesy 5th-generation copy of a beat up Marlin plate? :?:
Until I can source a nice looking plate, I may get a leather cuff for the stock.

Thanks for checking in!
