40S&W/10mm Lever Conversion

A conversion option available from Ranger Point Precision converts your Marlin '94 in 357 to beavle to load fire and eject either 10mm or 40S&W. Neat idea but at $1800 ive seen better options

Or to paraphrase one commentor "you wanna take my 357 or 44 lever and reinvent the wheel with it and charge me $1800 for the pleasure" Still though, for those with money to burn...

Wow if it were 400 bucks I could see interests in this but not at that cost no way.

Way to steep for what you get. Although the 10mm in a rifle length barrel does have a certain appeal. As to the 40S&W, I have little or no use for the cartridge. I've always felt it was a solution in search of a problem, but that's just me, old crotchety and set in my ways.

Far better to swap to 41 mag if you "have to have a swap".
Or just buy a Kal Tec model 2000 in 40 S&W using Glock mags !
For that price you can have a 50 Alaskan (2 if you do your own work).
Way down south in Arequipa, Peru till June.

I've just picked up a 10mm and I'd love to have a carbine in the same caliber but I sure as heck ain't paying to convert a perfectly good .357 to almost identical ballistics with the other round. Likewise $1800 to convert a perfectly good .357 or .44 to a rimless design just ain't going to happen with me.

I think I could probably BUILD a 10mm AR with very nice parts for less. In fact I may have to look into that.

AR builds certainly an option and i know theyve gotten cheap but not sure itd be cheaper than the HP 1095 (when thats actually available though, who knows )

I might grant you that BUT it will LOOK better...

And it IS potentially a lot less expensive than a $1800 conversion lever action package on a $500-$700 Marlin.
