500 S&W Lever

Post by GRV01 »

Was reading http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017 ... esomeness/ with a new .50 caliber lever! Pair that with an x-frame revolver and talk about a matched pair

Sexy lookin rifle but look at that price tag -- $3k

Very nice.
Definitely put a person at the top of the food chain in any wilderness area around these parts.
Or anywhere for that matter.

Agreed, and was looking at Big Horn Armory out WY and their website and that walnut looks great

They get even more expensive with customizations (octavon barrel!)

Also of note is they make a 454 Cassul version aswell since Rossis version albeit a third of the price has become vaporware

Ive seen them put through their paces on youtube.
Good strong rifles.
Nice walnut stock be fine for me.
454 be just as good, carry a 45 colt revolver along with it as a companion.
Got a neighbor, he is a big boy, cracked his wrist firing a S&W 500.

Yeap, my FIL 'bout deafened himself firing his 4" ported 500 without ears in. I was suprised though, whether the porting or the lower pressure, it kicked less than his 454 Redhawk
