Been working with my Win M94 Timber Scout this weekend. It is probably the most accurate rifle I own, I'm really impressed with its performance and looks.

This rifle was also offered in the 44 Mag. I found one NIB and bought it as well. I'm interested to see if it is as accurate as the 30-30 and stack it up against my R92 44 Mag Scout and my Marlin 1894P XS Scout.

Nice looking rifle, but then it's a lever gun :D . Do 94 levers all hang that far way from the grip?

Make smoke,
Curt... makin' smoke and raising my carbon foot print one cartridge at a time Image

I noticed the same in the picture. It actually stays up tight against the lower tang. I guess I knocked it loose trying to get the rifle to balance for the picture.

My first rifle was a 1982 ish Winchester 94 carbine.
Squeezing the lever up a bit is second nature as a result.
