Ithaca Model 49 single shot 22

Post by SaltH2Odeprived »

My dad gave this Ithaca Model 49 Saddle Gun single shot 22 to me for my 13th birthday.
After many years of use, it had a broken ejector, the painted receiver and lever were showing bare metal, the stock had several dings and scratches.
I found a new ejector, tore down the action and replaced the broken ejector.
Painted the receiver and lever, then stripped, sanded and refinished the stock.
I feel like a kid again, can hardly wait to go shoot it!

Heck, I wish any modern day budget guns had wood like that. That's a real beauty.

That brings back memories. I had one of those little rascals many moons ago. You did a fine job of restoring it!
