It's every bit as good as the best tuned Marlin I've ever handled.

I picked up 3 Lyman 66 receiver sights, one of them is going on this 444. Maybe I can shoot a little better with that setup. I've either got to do that, or get a taller front sight.

Beautiful examples of 444 Marlins, I much prefer the earlier models with the straight grip butt stocks.
