One of these days I'm going to have to get into single actions...

but I'm afraid I might start snapping them up like lever actions.

I've seen some good reviews on the Heritage Rough Rider Big Bore. It's a Miami company now owned by Taurus that takes some Italian made Pietta parts and finishes and assembles them here so they can say "made in US" on the box, although the barrel says made in Italy. Go figure.

Seem to be well made and sell for a decent price. Bud's carries them.

Just say'in. The only dealing I've had with the heritage were not good. It was only a .22 but not a good experience. Just kind of turned me off to them.
Same way I bought a set of bridgestone tires one time and they were trouble and have never bought another set.
I might have just gotten lemons but it spoiled my taste for them forever.

aprayinbear,,, that is some nice leather work.

Metro, tell us how your .357 shoots.

BTW, triple k sells the belt to go with the holster you bought.http://www.cowboyneeds.com/740.html or the http://www.cowboyneeds.com/110.html

or to see all of the belts they sell http://www.cowboyneeds.com/tk_western.html

Read the "fitting" info closely on any brand you decide to get.

I bought the 740 and cheyenne holster for my blackhawk. I rarely use the belt but it is nice to have sometime.

Good luck to you.

I tell ya what TGC,thats where I bought the holster and my finger was hovering over "add to cart" on the combo belt/holster package but I chickened out figuring I'd just use one of my regular leather belts. Maybe the better word is cheapened out.

Heritage Mfg. Rough Rider: relatively low priced single action revolvers in various calibers, including .357 mag and .44 mag. They make some small bore revolvers as well. I have one of the .22 caliber revolvers and I like it pretty well.
