Date of Manufacture & what model

Hi
Ive got a single shot, Ive checked on the Rossi site to its age. But can't find any information.
Serial number is SSP000005 . Also got the numbers 131 22 73 , on the bottom of barrel when stripped.
The rifle has no safety on the side.
If someone could point me in the right direction

Your rifle, by lack of the safety, is of Amedeo Rossi manufacture (pre-Braztech). There are no records for these firearms. I would say your firearm is pretty old with its "5" but not sure what they really did with serial numbers. There is very little information available concerning the original Company.

Just had a mail from Renan @ taurus export .
This rifle is a Rossi POMBA, manufactured in 2009.

Great, that would be a good email to keep. Is that the complete email? Post it is if you can.
What cartridge is your Single Shot chambered in?

I was given you email address, from one of the Rossi Live chat assistance operators.
Ive got a Rossi Single Shot rifle in .22, I’m trying to find out what model the rifle is.
Ive used the Rossi Model Number Lookup System , but it does not find my rifle.
Serial number is SSP000005 . Also got the numbers 131 22 73 , on the bottom of barrel when stripped.

I'm shocked considering how we have had little luck in dating our lever actions so it's not hopeless we just need to keep trying. Thanks for following through with the info so we can build our database here.

1999 is a good while ago but newish for a Rossi.

Thank you for the information. Other that have pre-Braztech rifles should use this information to find DOM info.
I downloaded the long gun catalog and it has everything Rossi has ever offered including rifles like the 92 chambered in 480 Ruger. I did finally find a date on the last page left side of January 2013 so I'm not sure if the changes we see here in the US are reflective of changes that have taken place of if Braztech just has stopped importing the missing long guns.
