Years from now you'll be talking about the time you could have bought a rifle for $99 and passed it up. :lol:

...and when I post a range report with my .5"@ 100 yds groups you'll really be crying. :twisted:

Actually, I expect it to be a misfiring, bullet-flinging mess. I'm going to stub in a 18" 357 Mag barrel and then ream it to 357 Maximum.

Or it will sit in a pile with my other projects.

But I got it. If you know what I mean. :lol:

My neighbor is a small frame guy and he has shot a Braztech Youth Single Shot 243 Win since he moved here. He has killed a bunch of hogs & whitetails with it. I was tempted but simply don't want to add another cartridge as I don't already cast & reload for the 243 Win.

I received my rifle today. Initial impressions:

Looks much better than anticipated. Fit and finish look good.

This is a youth model? It has a 13.25" length of pull.

It locks tightly, but there is a lot of side to side play when it's open. Is this normal?

Trigger breaks at 4.5 lbs.

Firing pin protrusion is .030" with trigger held and hammer resting on transfer bar. If I hold the hammer, pull the trigger, and then push the transfer bar with a screwdriver, I get .046." Hammer nose is .150" but the transfer bar looks to be closer to .125". I'm going to fix this before test firing.

Twist is 1:10".
