Broken ejector and extractor

Hi, first time here. My extractor broke on my 45-70 Rio Grande first time out, 13 shot from gun. Am I reading correctly that I can replace with a Rem 45-70 extractor(just remove old one and put new one on)? I can purchase from Midway for like 10 or 11 bucks. Thanks for any advice.
