How do you remove the fore grip?

Post by dos0711 »

Hello!

I just bought a Ranch Hand 45 and I'm not happy with the finish on the wood. I had no trouble removing the rear stock but how do you remove the fore grip?

Thanks

You need to remove the barrel band and then the forearm band and then gently pull the forearm towards the muzzle and you have it.

  • Remove the magazine cap and magazine spring
  • Remove the magazine band screw
  • Remove the forearm tip (forearm band) screw
  • Slide the forearm band forward
  • Slide the magazine tube out
  • Slide the forearm off
Or at least something like this.

This topic might help as well and there are others in the 92 forum: R92 Forearm vs. Band Fit

Oh! Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm a lever gun fan! I have Marlin, Winchester, Henry and now Rossi lever guns! And thanks for the information. I kinda figured that would be how but it never hurts to get confirmation.
