How do you change the front+rear sights on a Ranch Hand

Post by DocBurN »

ok, sorry, it may be a weird question but i got no experience with them..

How do i change the sights on my 44 magnum rossi ranch hand ?

I just received a new front and rear from Steve Guns and would appreciate pointers on how to do it ..

Does the original front sight slide to the left.. to the right ? do i need to super glue the new slided sights ?

Thank you very much for your time and answers...

It is very easy, they "drift" out with a brass punch. The dovetail on the Braztech rifles, your Ranch Hand, are a modern "square" cut and can be removed and reinstalled from either side of the barrel.

First thanks for the advice.. removing the back sight was easy.. but what a freaking nightmare to put the new sight on.. using a punch, hammer, trying to file a little.. that damn sight just dont want to get in..

after many hours of swearing.. its all done.. the front sight was so easy to do..

now the line of sights seem to be good.. range trip will be the real test
