Playing with my 357 RH

Post by Joe S. »

Of course my Ranch Hand shot too high when i got it, so before i spent the money on a sight i decided to see if i could modify the factory sight to work. That's what I've been doing today. Now at 50 yards i can hold the front sight on an 8" gong and ring it every time. So now it's shooting to point of aim!!

Here she is...

This was a factory buckhorn style sight this morning. With my 38 special handloads i dont need the elevator. If i need it later i will have to modify it too to make it work for me. This was done with a belt sander and a Dremel.

I have been well pleased with it. Although I have still not slicked it up or really shot it that much. But I hope to do more with it this spring. The reason I bought it mainly was to buy a tax stamp and put a butt stock on it. I have not done that yet.

Ahhhhhhh! That sounds good. The 357Magnum/38Special has little to no recoil out of the 16" barrel, and shouldn't be much different with that setup. Lots handier too.

There is a SBR'd RH in the new issue of Guns. Pretty sweet.
